Dear Alan Odle

Thanks very much for your letter which gave me great pleasure to read…. It is very good of you to grant us a period of 3 months in which to pick up and find the new instrument for the production of the Contes Drolatiques. I have every hope that we will have got something moving by then.

Elza sends her thanks for your remembering the moonstones.

By next year we should have some hole in London as well as here, and we look forward to meeting you and your wife then.

I shall get straightaway into touch with Penton about those drawings.

Is your Cornwall address still the same? in case I want to write to you as things move.

                                   yours sincerely

Jack Lindsay

It is pleasing to know that at least an attempt to publish the Balzac drawings was made. I guess it was just a terrible time to get anything published after the Wall Street crash.
